Great points Ben. I have only ever preached once – it was haphazard and a bit of a disaster. You might even have been there. The central message though was good though: most come to faith out of fear, but this is only the start. Maturing is about being driven by love instead of these pervasive, reflexive fears.

Lately, a work of art, such as a good film I’m expecting to watch, a song I feel I need to listen to… or the exciting prospect of incoming news from my friends across the globe via gmail or facebook. I guess, also, the hope that something new and exciting can begin today, that I get another chance at life, at living. Sometimes I’m surprised by the generosity of these seemingly gratuitous chances and imagine that life has put as much hope in me as I in it.

Thanks Liubov, I have heard about Tibetan medicine treating cancer. Since I have had no specific complaint it might be hard for me to say if its working or not but I believe East and West can learn a lot from each other. Its not just one way.

Thanks David, its good to hear its interesting. About the bike, its a locally made Honda, but probably made to a Japanese design. Its been great, no problems in about 4000 kms. Its like an extension of my body now. Probably why I dont like people touching it.
